Shipping, Delivery & Returns

We ship all over the world using trusted shipping companies. Glassworks are double boxed and packed with extra cushioning using sustainable packaging where possible. Each piece is treated preciously and is packed very carefully and confidently ensuring their journey to you is a safe one.

All UK orders include free delivery. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING will be at a reduced rate. Quotes are available on application.

Purchased items will be sent within 3 days of ordering unless otherwise notified.

1.Delivery methods and periods

The methods that we use to deliver our products, and the time periods within which delivery is usually completed, are as follows:

(a) if your delivery address is on the United Kingdom mainland, the typical period for delivery of products by this method is 3 - 7 working days.

The delivery periods set out are indicative only, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure that you receive your delivery in good time, we do not guarantee delivery before the end of the stated period.

2. International Delivery charges

Applicable delivery charges will depend upon the location of the delivery address, and the size and weight of the products in your order.

Please note for US customers when shipping and receiving your glasswork purchases (especially new orders with costs over £1500 or greater) you will need to fill in a current Form 5106 on file with the United States Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) before the shipment can be processed.

Form 5106 is not a request from Michèle Oberdieck specifically, but rather a requirement from the CBP for high-value orders to pass through US customs.

A CBP Form 5106 is required for all importer filings that are classified as formal entries. A formal entry is a type of import that is either intended for commercial purposes or valued at more than $2,500

Even if your organization has submitted Form 5106 in the past, the CBP may still require an up-to-date form to be filed.

With regard to shipments of audiometers equal to or greater than $2500 USD, the CBP will always require an up-to-date Form 5106 to be on file.

We understand that completing and filing this form can seem like a time consuming and tiresome extra step, which is why we’ve compiled some helpful information to help make this process easier in order to get your shipment without any delays or disruptions during the shipping process.

First, click here to access the CBP’s Form 5106 page. From there, you can download a PDF copy of Form 5106 if a copy of the form was not provided to you by FedEx, or other couriers.

Important: All customers must provide a tax ID number or EIN on Form 5106, even if you are tax-exempt. This can be your social security no. They can also ask for your passport number. This is a USA customs requirement.

After completing and filing Form 5106, there may be additional taxes and duties that need to be paid based on your organization’s specific circumstances. Take note that like Form 5106, these fees are not tied to SHOEBOX. They are import requirements between your company and the CBP.

3. Customs and import charges: 

Orders shipped to destinations outside the UK and the EU may incur duties and taxes, which may be due at the time of delivery.

The classification of these glassworks ensure these costs should be minimal. You may want to consult your local customs office for more details about duties and taxes. 

A commodity code can be given on request.

Please note these charges are not calculated during checkout and are not collected by Michèle Oberdieck (ie.the recipient of a gift may be responsible for these amounts).

Michèle Oberdieck does not accept any liability for additional taxes and charges relating to clearing your goods through customs. These are the responsibility of the customer. Any parcels returned to us due to customs charges being higher than expected, we reserve the right to refund the transaction minus all costs incurred. 

3. Delivery tracking

Delivery tracking is available in respect of all orders for our products.

4. Receipt and signature

All deliveries must be received in person at the delivery address, and a signature must be provided.

5. Returns: We would like you to be happy with your purchase. If this is not the case, please notify us by email : info@micheleoberdieck.com within 7 days and return the glass work (at your expense) in the same careful packaging it arrived in.

Providing it arrives back safely, and in the exact condition it was sent, we’ll give you a full refund within 2 weeks. We comply with the distance selling act regulations and you have seven working days from the day after you receive your goods to notify us if you’d like to return anything.
